The Genesis of Craft Beer


The story of HOPS BREWHOUSE begins over two decades ago in 1995, when it was first conceived by Mr. Virabhongse & Mr. Vincenzo Massetti Two years later, in 1997, the doors officially opened, marking the birth of Pattaya's first micro-brewery. At a time when local beer choices were limited, HOPS offered a revolutionary concept: a place where guests could drink beer that was brewed fresh, right on the premises, adhering to traditional German brewing standards.
From Hopf to HOPS BREWHOUSE
For many years, the venue was known by its original name, Hopf. However, in February 2017, the name was officially changed to HOPS BREWHOUSE. This change was made to better reflect the establishment's evolution and the wider variety of handcrafted beers and flavors being served, paying homage to the key ingredient in beer: the hop flower.
Crucially, the brewery continues to use authentic German brewing formulas, with production and quality control strictly overseen by pioneers Mr. TIM ALEXANDER DUECK and Mr. WENICH, Brewmaster of this brewery and ensure its heritage remains intact.
